2011 Run To The Rose Final Field

August 24th, 2011

The 2011 Run To The Rose Final Field has been released and it’s plain to see we’re set for a cracker of a contest with a couple of returning juvenile superstars and a few others which look massively improved as a three year olds.

The story of the day at Rosehill Gardens this weekend will no doubt be how two horses in particular make their comebacks, both Helmet and Smart Missile carrying massive expectations.

In a field of only eight there shouldn’t be too many excuses to come out of the run and it’ll likely be a case of the fittest will win so early in their campaigns.

Looking through the runners we can rate each horses chances from previous form, but just how well they’ll go in the 2011 Run To The Rose remains to be seen.

As mentioned Helmet is a classy type, he’s won two Group 1’s already but he can be a little erratic.

Smart Missile is the only horse to ever beat Sepoy which speaks volumes about his ability, he’s lightly raced and good to go, massive player.

Foxwedge won first up on his return last start and looks bigger and stronger as a three year old. These top ones took care of him last season, this could be payback time.

Diamond To Pegasus has had two starts this prep, that’s more than any other runner. He might seem outclassed but his fitness will be a big plus.

Boys On Tour seems to improve with every run, there are raps on this horse but it’s about time he stepped up to the mark.

Flight Of Pegasus probably needs more than the 1200m of the Run To The Rose but that’ll be no excuse for not putting up a good showing. Look for him to hit the line late.

Mashkoor is the unknown of the field, didn’t start as a juvenile and debuted in fourth this season, could be a smokey.

Karuta Queen has speed to burn but does she have the legs against this field? Only time will tell but you know her trainer will be singing her praises pre-race.

Check out the 2011 Run To The Rose final field below and see if you can find a winner in what looks like a hot little field.

On paper it actually appears to be one of the best betting races of the spring so there’s no excuse not to register a new account at Luxbet and get on it today!
