August 28th, 2015

Only seven runners have been confirmed to contest Saturday’s featured 2015 Group 2 Run To The Rose (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse; offering punters exceptional value from a betting standpoint and several key opportunities to place a winning wager.

Chris Waller has been thrilled with the class displayed by Japonisme this time and the colt has remained clear $2.45 favourite in 2015 Run To The Rose betting markets with Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Exosphere ($4.60) and Press Statement ($5).

Will Japonisme continue his undefeated run this time through the 2015 Run To The Rose or will one of his talented rivals find the line in the clear?

Press Statement ($5)

The only Group 1 winner confirmed in the Run To The Rose field, Press Statement has been charged with overcoming a race-high 60kgs but is more than capable of saluting at great odds this weekend. Debuting with consecutive and commanding wins in a pair of Sydney minor sprints in autumn, the Hinchinbrook colt never appeared in doubt in his black type debut last time out on June 6th; producing a monumental turn of foot to take out the Group 1 JJ Atkins (1600m). Press Statement has been confirmed to be partnered by Tye Angland and is more than worth consideration for a Run To The Rose Stakes bet.

Exosphere ($4.60)

One of several leading three-year-old contenders for Godolphin Australia this season, Exosphere has trialled well in the lead-up to his racing return and is worth consideration for a 2015 Run To The Rose Stakes bet at current odds. Returning this year for success in the Valentines Day Maiden Plate (1000m) on February 14th, the Lonhro colt made a successful transition to black type racing when taking out the Group 2 Skyline Stakes (1200m) a fortnight later, but failed to fire in the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) last time out.

Japonisme ($2.45)

Japonisme is yet to taste anything but success through four starts this time, but faces a pretty formed field in the 2015 Run To The Rose and will need to muster a career-best performance. Taking out three minor sprints, including the Tradie Magazine BM72 (1100m) by four lengths on August 1st, the Choisir gelding beat a good field to the line in the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes (1100m) a fortnight ago and will leave from the rails draw this weekend.
